Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using IntervAI (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
Recording Consent & Legal Compliance
⚠️ CRITICAL: You are solely responsible for compliance with all wiretapping and privacy laws.
IntervAI provides capabilities to capture screen content and audio processing. By using these features, you explicitly agree to:
- Obtain Consent: You are solely responsible for obtaining explicit consent from all parties involved in any conversation or meeting before enabling audio capture or transcription features.
- Legal Compliance: You must ensure your use of the Services complies with all applicable privacy, wiretap, surveillance, and two-party consent laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of other participants.
- No Liability: IntervAI and its developers verify neither the legality of your use nor whether appropriate consent has been obtained. We are not responsible for any disputes, claims, legal actions, or liabilities arising from unauthorized or unlawful recording/capture.
Intended Use & Academic/Professional Integrity
⚠️ IntervAI is an educational tool designed for practice and preparation.
- Practice Tool: The Services are intended to help users practice interview questions, improve communication skills, and review their performance.
- Prohibited Misuse: We do not encourage, endorse, or support the use of IntervAI to cheat, deceive, or violate the policies of any employer, educational institution, or testing platform.
- User Responsibility: You assume full responsibility for any consequences resulting from the use of the Services in real-time assessments, interviews, or exams. IntervAI disclaims all liability for disciplinary actions, rejections, or disqualifications you may face.
Early Access & "As Is" Service
You acknowledge that IntervAI may effectively be in an early development or "Beta" phase.
- The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
- You may experience occasional bugs, crashes, connectivity issues, or feature incompleteness.
- We do not guarantee that the Services will function without interruption or errors, or that it will be compatible with all hardware and software configurations.
- We are not liable for any data loss, performance issues, or missed opportunities resulting from Service instability.
Third-Party Infrastructure & API Keys
Our Services rely on third-party infrastructure and your personal API keys:
- Dependency: IntervAI functionality depends on the availability of third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). We are not responsible for outages, rate limits, or errors caused by these providers.
- API Costs: You are solely responsible for all costs associated with your use of third-party API keys within the app.
- Key Security: You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. IntervAI stores keys locally on your device, but you must ensure your device is secure.
Payment, Refunds & License
- License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.
- One-Time Purchase: The iOS app is available for a one-time purchase fee. This grants you lifetime access to the version purchased and standard updates.
- Refunds: All purchases and refunds are processed exclusively by Apple's App Store according to their standard terms. We cannot issue direct refunds.
- Desktop Apps: Companion desktop applications are provided free of charge but require the paid iOS app to function fully.
Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the software.
- Redistribute, sell, rent, lease, or sub-license the Services.
- Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
- Use the Services to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
- Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Warranties regarding the security of data transmission
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL INTERVAI, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IntervAI and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
